The Ever-Changing SERP’s
Which one will you click and why? It’s a billion dollar business – and there is a good reason for that. Google has been consistently changing its search engine algorithm for years now and how it populates where our local and even long distance businesses come up in our search query needs and wants. Google conveniently displays these businesses products, services, and the areas in which they are served directly on our screens with its algorithms. #GoogleSearch
Google Releases New Geographical SERP Testing
It appears that Google is now testing a new desktop SERP (Search Engine Results Page) design layout in certain geographical areas and perhaps even nationwide. The new Google desktop SERP is notably much more similar to the current mobile SERP. These new SERP changes will be most specifically relevant to the Local Google listing search field as well as the Paid AdWords (PPC) search results field. #GoogleUpdate
How will this change in Google Search Results Pages (SERP’s) affect my Local SEO?
The latest preliminary desktop SERP design layout testing showing up on Google is intriguing to say the least. Especially in terms of its potential positive affect to the Local search engine result field. Google has now moved the map from the upper right of SERP’s down towards the middle center of Local search results fields. Google is now also including 2 new-large clickable buttons on Local listings showing up on search results which include buttons to go to their website and for driving directions which is very convenient for Google’s user experience. These conveniences could help increase influence in consumers’ willingness to opt to choose to use Local listings rankings reliability for their needs or wants instead of Organic search, Paid AdWords, or any social media domains populating. #LocalSEO
How will this change in Google Search Results Pages (SERP’s) affect my Paid AdWords (PPC)?
As far as Paid AdWords Google has also condensed the spacing of the PPC listings on SERP’s to be more condensed near the top of search results which should help increase Paid AdWords as a whole in general. The right hand PPC field has also been moved over slightly more to the left near the main pack of searches results which should also help increase new PPC traffic. #PaidSearch
